When did you start playing Epic Card Game? What was your first strategy card game? How long have you been playing these sorts of games?

I’ve been playing strategy games my entire life, and playing Magic since I was 12. I first heard about Epic from my father, but I didn’t give it a try until my friend Tom Dixon convinced me. I’m really glad Tom talked me into giving it a shot — it’s a lot of fun!

How often do you play Epic Card Game? Do you have a group that you play Epic with? Do you have a testing group (for constructed or for limited)?

I’ve played in two EPIC events — two Limited qualifiers. Otherwise, I just play with my Dad. I don’t know if that qualifies as a “testing group.”

Questions for Limited:

Did you mulligan your card list? How quickly did you determine what you wanted to use from the card list?

I did Mulligan my card list. I didn’t think my first one has enough good Blue cards. In my 2nd list, I played all of my Blue cards. I like Blue cards.

Were you happy with the deck you put together? What advice would you have for people playing in Dark Draft?

My advice for Dark Draft? Milling is a fun strategy. I won half my dark draft games with milling. Milling myself out was also my favorite play. You just have to run out of deck points before you run out of life points.

Final Question:

And, finally, what advice do you want to give to the people trying to win an Epic World Championship Qualifier?

My advice for someone trying to win an Epic qualifier? Have fun. Get to know the folks there. There are some really cool people playing this game. And play your Blue cards.
