2016 World Championship
November 18-21, 2016
Framingham (Boston area) Massachusetts USA
One Game. Many ways to play, to qualify, to win. Who will be the first World Champion?
White Wizard Games is proud to announce the Epic World Championship, qualifiers for which will be taking place all year long across the globe. Players will have a chance to compete and win one of 64 coveted entries to the 2016 Epic World Championship in November, where everyone will receive a cash prize and one person will win $25,000 and the title of World Champion!
Epic Card Game was designed and developed by Rob Dougherty and Darwin Kastle, two Magic the Gathering Hall of Famers and Pro Tour champions who want to provide large organized play events and big prizes to grow a strong player community.
All told, $100,000 in cash will be awarded at Epic Worlds. There will be plenty of fun events open to the public as well.
If you want to have a Qualifier event in your area, check out our Road to Worlds page to see how. If you want to run local tournaments, check out our How to Run an Epic Card Game Tournament page.

Qualifier Tournament Formats
We will hold World Championship Qualifier Tournaments in the following two formats:
Constructed: Each player must bring a 60-card deck using cards they own, following the “Full Constructed” rules in the rulebook and at epiccardgame.com/formats/. This deck will be used for both the preliminary (swiss) rounds and the top-8 playoff rounds.
Limited: Each player must bring one set of Epic (one of each card from the included sets), and will build a 30 card deck from a pool of 60 randomly selected cards (following the limited “sealed” rules in the rulebook and at epiccardgame.com/formats/). These decks will be used for the swiss rounds. In the top-8 playoffs of Limited events, players will compete in head-to-head Dark Draft, drafting a new deck each round!
